Aberdeen partners Weave Living to buy six Tokyo residential properties
The residential properties are being acquired in behalf of a European capitalist that is a long-term partner of Aberdeen in the area, the international property executive said in an Aug 17 release. The deal value was not disclosed.
Aberdeen Investments is buying 6 residential properties in Tokyo in alliance with Hong Kong-based rental lodging firm Weave Living.
The properties being acquired were safeguarded off-market with Weave Living. Consisting of a total amount of 275 non commercial units, all six real estates were finished between 2023 and 2026. They stand throughout different wards in central Tokyo, within a 10-minute stroll of the nearby train station.
5 of the properties are going to be operated as furnished flexible rental condos under Weave Place– a label managed by Weave Living. The sixth property will continue to be run as a typical built-to-rent residential property.
The purchase will build up Aberdeen’s Japan living account, that stood at 57 properties with a complete assessment of around JPY150 billion ($1.2 billion) since June.
The properties will deal with expanding demand for versatile living solutions in Japan, claimed Harumi Kadono, Aberdeen’s chief of Japan property. “Partnering with Weave Living gives us a skilled manager on the ground in Tokyo and permits us to fulfill that need with a genuinely differentiated rental product,” he included.
Meanwhile, Weave Living’s Japan profile has expanded to about JPY110 billion since it got in the market in 2023.
“As part of the increased growth of our integrated living sector-focused funds administration service in Japan and throughout Asia Pacific, we are thrilled to declare this venture with Aberdeen Investments,” said Sachin Doshi, founder and CEO of Weave Living.
